How do I change my name on I-Learn or Canvas?

In the settings, there is nothing that available to help me change my name.

Hi  @rachelgines  Welcome to the Canvas Community!

Our users also see no option to change their names, and that is because we restricted that permission. This is a permission that Canvas admins can restrict, and many schools do.

You will need to talk to your Canvas Admin/Support dept. They can easily change your name for you.

If you are curious as to why schools do this, I will just say that in the first two terms with Canvas you would not believe some of the names that showed up; and it wasn't just students! We got a few very strange ones from our instructors too.
