Hide student in grade book

How does one hide a student name in the gradebook.   I understadn how to hide ALL of them for grading biasness, however I have ONE name I do not need to see in my gradebook all the time i.e a test student account. How does one hide this from view ?

You need to delete the Test Student from your course section, detailed here. But, if you ever use Student View to preview course material or check an assignment, the Test Student will show up again.

Thank you, Brian.  I am a little concerned about deleting registered students.

Often I have to prove when a student stopped activity in the course.

If a student drops three weeks into the semester, I want to hide them in the grade book not delete then ( and all their activity) from the course.

I didn't read carefully enough - I thought you meant the test student specifically.

You can deactivate a user's enrollment which hides them from your course lists but retains all of their content. Here's the doc on how to do that.
