H5P content loading as 'Launch External Tool' in the Canvas student app.

My organisation has recently installed H5P.com and we're finding that H5P content loads as 'Launch External Tool' in the Canvas student app. 

Does anyone in this community know the reasons why H5P content loads in this way in the Canvas student app?

This happens across all mobile platforms (Android & iOS).

I'm not too familiar with how H5P does the direct integration with Canvas and I'm not sure specifically how you are using it in your course, but this is generally how the Canvas Mobile apps handle these types of LTI integrations, especially from assignments. Some web based integrations work really well (see the chat tool), but others are less integrated (see the Redirect Tool). If you can embed H5P directly into a Canvas page using iframe code, it should work better than linking to it directly, but that might not be the best way to use H5P in your particular situation.

I appreciate your response and the information you've provided. I know that we can embed H5P into the content build, however, that's not the best practice for our institution. 

I think I've come to accept that that's how H5P works on the mobile app.
