Deleting course file consequences?

To clarify my previous question, if I import a file from an old course into a new course, then delete that file in the new course, does that deletion remove it from the old course.?

Nope...when you import content from one course to another, it makes a copy of everything.  So, if you delete a file from one course, it will not delete it in another.  It will still be there.
