Creating A Calendar Event Seems To Show Up In Multiple Classes

I'm teaching three different classes next semester. When I go into the calendar function for one of my classes and enter information on the final exam for that class, the same information now shows up on the calendar for the two other classes. If I log into one of those other classes and try to make changes to the final exam event, then those changes are see by the other two classes.

Am I missing something here? As an instructor with 3 different classes, will I only see one calendar? Do I have to create uniquely names events for each class because each calendar for each class is going to show all of my events for all three classes?

I had thought that each class's calendar was a separate entity and that things that I entered for that class were all that I could see.

What gives?

This should not be happening and I can't think of any scenario where it would.  When you go to the Calendar from the Global Navigation (left side of Canvas), each of your three courses should be selectable on the right side of the page and you can set a different color for each. 

When you edit the item from this view it should very clearly show you which course it is in at the bottom of the entry box and it can only be set to one.

I have a possibly related problem.  Students in two different sections of the same class are seeing assignment deadlines for both sections in the Calendar.

It's confusing to students in each section, as they are seeing two deadlines for the same assignment.  

Each section has a separate Canvas course, enrolled with different students.  I am creating assignments separately for each section.  I don't understand why an assignment deadline for one of my Canvas courses is appearing in the student calendars for those in my other section of the course.
