Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Is there some setting I'm missing? Looking through the threaded discussion posts/replies none of them have a date next to them. Just the initial discussion assignment, when it was posted. If you, as the teacher, open the discussion in SpeedGrader you then see dates for the post and replies a student at a time. That doesn't help the feel of conversation or an ongoing asynchronous discussion when you're adding to it. They obviously have the data, it just needs to be displayed.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Turns out our CSS was mistakenly turning the date text white. Whoops!
Hi SHEBENE
I just opened a couple of discussions in a couple of my courses, and a posting date displays below every student's name in their posts, and if I hover over that date, the time of the posting also displays. Below is a screenshot of one of my postings (don't want to violate FERPA) showing the date under my name...........
I've been a Canvas admin for more than five years, and am certain that this is not a feature admins can turn on/off, so I suspect a bug. My suggestion is to submit a support ticket.
I hope this helps.
I was hoping it was a bug instead of a feature request. Thanks!
I know what you mean, Neal, bugs are often easier!
Turns out our CSS was mistakenly turning the date text white. Whoops!
Thanks for getting back to us, Neal!
Woo hoo! Problem solved and no need to submit a feature idea. Life is good!
