If your instructor has allowed attachments to discussion posts, you'll find the instructions in How do I attach a file to a discussion reply as a student? If you don't see the paper clip icon, it means that capability has been disabled—but you should still be able to embed the image directly in the reply, as detailed in https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-10700-4212190965
