Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I'm working with a faculty member who is having issues with scheduling group appointments for Office Hours in her course.
She wants the appointments to be 20 minutes apiece and every time she goes in to edit the time slots, it doesn't save.
I have also tried it masquerading as her.
In an hour she wants three time slots for 2 students each seeing a total of 6 students in an hour.
I have unchecked the number of users box. I have entered 3 users per time slot leaving it as an hour and it still doesn't re-add the time slot to 20 minutes.
The instructor said it was working beautifully last year S/S term 2018. I know there is a new appointment scheduler but our university does not have it turned on so she is using the former one through the calendar.
I have attached a screen shot. The 30 minutes cannot be changed to 20 minutes.
Thank you,

I'm so sorry you've each been experiencing this. I can't find anything that I can share with you that would help you troubleshoot further or explain what you are experiencing. Would you please contact Canvas Support so that they can help investigate. Thanks.
I am also experiencing issues with the Scheduler. For some reason only a few of the students can see the available appointments and others can't. Everything that I've researched says that students should select the "Find Appointment" button, but none exists for them. Our institution has the scheduler enabled and another corresponding scheduling tool, but still not working. Based on what I'm seeing in the Community, it would appear that the functionality is hit or miss for many institutions. I have a call scheduled with our CSM on Thursday afternoon. I will have to add this to the agenda.
Hi Amy and Nicole ~ It's been about six months since you first reported an issue with Scheduler. Since then, I hope that everything has been resolved! If you have a few minutes, it would be great to hear from you. If you could explain your solution or let the Canvas Community know that you're still having difficulties, that'd be helpful.
Hello Kristin,
I apologize for the delay but I have another instructor having issues with the appointment scheduler in their course.
Some students are able to select an appointment slot while several other students do not even see the options in their calendars.
Thank you in advance.
~Amy
Not working for us as well. Teachers can create the slots, but students can't see the slots or see the "Find Appointment" button as shown in instructions. I'm the Admin and doubled checked that the feature is on. It is. I don't want to tell faculty to use this feature if it's glitchy. We are all under the Coronavirus gun and something like this is great. If it works as it should. Thanks!
I have been helping an instructor with the same issue. I finally discovered that students have to choose "Find Appointments" from the right-hand side of the screen. Then they will be prompted to select the course, and finally, they will be able to see available times. I understand not wanting to clutter students' calendars with extra time slots that don't apply to them, but it seems a little counter-intuitive to have to jump through a couple hoops to even see where to sign-up.

I also agree this is an area that needs improvement due to its counter-intuitive process. Thanks to you I finally found out how to see it on my desktop, but still can't find it on my phone Canvas app.
