[ARCHIVED] students can't see the peer review they posted

I'm using Canvas for my writing classes, and I'm asking them to provide a peer review using a rubric. They write comments rather than put in points. The problem arises after they submit their comments. They can't see them when they re-open the rubric, and I get panicky emails from them asking me to verify that it is done. I can see their comments in the Speed Grader, but they can't see them anymore.
I set up two fake student accounts to see if I could find a workaround, and I can't find anything, nor can I find any troubleshooting information. I saw one person post that students could go back in and add to their comments (thereby assuming they could see them) but my students are getting blank fields when they reopen the rubric.
Is this a settings issue? I have looked all through the settings and I can't see anything that would change this.
Help is much appreciated!
