[ARCHIVED] recipient invalid when trying to message students

Hello, I am trying to simply send an email to my students, grouped by section, to individual recipients, and I keep getting an "invalid recipient" response. MY COURSE IS PUBLISHED. Can you please tell me WHY it is so difficult to simply email students. This should be the easiest thing you do in Canvas. I need help.

Hi  @peamon  Thank You for your question. 

This does not sound like normal behaviour for the Inbox built into Canvas. Very frustrating for you. 

Are you following the steps outlined in this guide? How do I send a message to a user in a course in the Inbox as an instructor?
