Hi Denise,

If you are wanting to drop the lowest grade from a group such as quizzes you can do this with Assignment Groups.  Create an Assignment group and put all of your quizzes in it.  Click the three dots to the right of the Assignment Group, select Edit, and then you can specify the number of lowest scores to ignore (drop).  Here are a couple of links which might help.
