[ARCHIVED] Wrong Date on Assignment Past reporting period

I accidentaly created an assignment with a past due date (last reporting period). I have a student that already submitted that assignment therefore I can't edit it or unpublish it and edit it. How do I fix this. I won't even let me grade this student because is in my last reporting period time frame.

This is just one of the many reason I suggest my teachers have their courses built before students enter it, but I also understand that this is not always possible.

Grading terms are controlled at the account level, so you are going to need to work with your school's Canvas Admin to temporarily turn off grading periods for your course so that you can make the adjustments you need to make. However, you will likely still need to delete that assignment and recreate it. This will not go over well with your eager-beaver student, but that is the only way you can fix it.
