Hey Damon,
I can see from the screenshot that you are using a MacBook Air and am guessing that you are using Safari as your web browser. There is a security setting in Safari which blocks cross site tracking and is causing issues with embedded images, especially in Quizzes. I suggest switching to either Chrome or Firefox as the web browser you use for Canvas. If you want to keep using Safari you can go to Preferences, Privacy and uncheck the box next to Prevent cross-site tracking and that should fix the issue.
