Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I gave my class a test in quizzes. Now when I click on "quiz statistics" Canvas tells me it can't render quiz statistics. Is this because not every student has taken it or is this because it had a lot of questions and questions groups. I can get the print out but not scroll through the item analysis to individual questions.
Canvas does not require every student to take the exam, but it does have limits on how many questions or students can be there.
This lesson from the Canvas Instructor Guide has more information: Once I publish a quiz, what kinds of quiz statistics are available?
One of the notes in the blue section at the top says:
For optimum course performance in the Canvas interface, quiz statistics will only generate for quizzes with 100 or fewer unique questions or 1000 total attempts. For instance, a quiz with 200 questions will not generate quiz statistics. However, a quiz with 75 questions will generate quiz statistics until the quiz has reached 1000 attempts. Results greater than these maximum values can be viewed by downloading the Student Analysis report and viewing the CSV file.
If you had 10 question groups with 20 items each and picked 1 question from each, then that would count up to 200 questions (it's unlikely that all of the questions would get delivered), not just 10 questions.
