Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Hi Everyone,
We have noticed that some of our module icons are greyed [grayed] out, despite being published. Does anyone know why?
Cheers! Isobel

Hello again, we have heard back from Tech Support. They told us the icon display was 'stuck' and they managed to correct it by cycling the publish state (which presumably means unpublishing then republishing the module item). I am a bit puzzled because we also tried this to no effect. I guess if the problem becomes widespread it might be addressed in a future release.
Hi @imerricks ...
I was thinking that this might be related to Prerequisites or Requirements, but then in my testing this wasn't the case. Have you refreshed the page to see if anything has changed. Or, have you cleared your browser's cache/history, closed the browser, and then signed in again to see if there has been any change to those items? Is this happening in just one course? Or, are you able to reproduce the issue in multiple courses? You might need to reach out to Instructure's tech support crew if this has been an on-going issue.
Looking forward to hearing from you, Isobel...
Hi Chris, thanks for confirming that this is peculiar. I tried your suggestion of clearing my cache and logging in again but it made no difference. I will write to tech support and report back.
Sounds good, Isobel! Will be interesting to hear what Tech Support has to say!

Emojis are presenting as grey. Why and how do I fix it?
My emoji are appearing grey too, but only in one of my courses. All other courses have emoji with color. This happens on multiple computers, both staff and students. Anyone find anything on this?
