[ARCHIVED] Where do I find my spam/junk mail folder?

I am trying to find an email, and was told it may be in my spam/junk folder. I cannot find mine.

Hello  @sierra_dearvil  Welcome to the Canvas Community.  Thank you for posting your question.  The Canvas Inbox does not have a spam/junk folder.  If you check out the 2-minute mark of this video, , it shows the different folder you can select.  Might you be looking for a spam/junk folder in your actual e-mail account (the Canvas Inbox is not e-mail)?

My response from September 2019 remains the same.  There is no "spam" or "junk" mail folder in Canvas.  However, as I stated above, you may have a folder like this in your normal e-mail account.  The Canvas Inbox is not the same as e-mail.  This means that you cannot send e-mail messages to friends and family via the Canvas Inbox because they are not enrolled in the class(es) that you are.  By the same token, you cannot receive e-mails in the Canvas Inbox from your friends and family...because they aren't enrolled in these classes.  You can only send/receive messages to/from others who are enrolled in the same class(es) that you are enrolled in.
