I am having trouble using VideoThread for my algebra class. In the assignment areas, it gives me the option to sign in through Canvas, but when i try it takes me back to dash board. When I try Brightside, it is a dead end. Anyone have any suggestions?

I have never heard of VideoThread or Brightside.  Neither of those terms are familiar to me within the Canvas environment, so I am assuming that your course is using some sort of third-party integration(s).  I would recommend that you reach out directly to your instructor or someone from your school's Online Learning/eLearning department to see if they might be of help.  You can contact your instructor by following this Guide: How do I get help with Canvas as a student?.
