We would like to create a rubric that includes both a ratings scale and a free form narrative comment section for each criterion. As of now, it seems to be one or the other. Is it possible to do this, and if not, can this change be incorporated into future rubrics?

Hi Amanda,
If you use the Rating options there will still be a call out button where comments can be added (optionally) to each set of criteria. The only limitation to this option versus using the "use freeform comments" option is that the comments are not re-usable. I agree it would be nice to have both available at once, but when using ratings you still can make comments on individual criteria.
How do I use a rubric to grade submissions in SpeedGrader?
