How do I upload a single graded assignment submission to canvas (not everything as a zip file)

Are you asking how to submit an assignment as a student? If so, then this guide will help How do I submit an online assignment? 

However, I suspect you are a teacher, so.............

• Are you asking how you can submit an on-paper assignment for a student? If so, you cannot accomplish this in Canvas.
• Are you asking about how you post a grade for a student who submitted an on-paper assignment that you have hand graded outside of Canvas? if so, then this is easy if you have also created the assignment in Canvas. To create an assignment in Canvas, use this guide How do I create an assignment? To then grade (post a grade for a student's on-paper submission) that assignment you can either use SpeedGrader https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-12772-4152640867 , or you can use the Gradebook https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-17330-41521116619 

It is much easier if you simply create your assignments in Canvas, and have your students actually submit in Canvas. However, I do understand that there are times and reasons for having students submit their assignments some other way.
