[ARCHIVED] Transferring video files from BigBlueButton to Studio

I have a lot of recordings through Canvas Conferences BigBlueButton. Since they will eventually be deleted, I want to upload them to Canvas Studio so that I can use them for other classes. I wanted to avoid the time and trouble of downloading all recordings to my computer and then uploading them all to Studio.  Can I not just transfer them directly from BigBlueButton to Studio? I can copy the links from BigBlueButton but Studio only accepts YouTube links.

Hi, David. 

The free version of BigBlueButton does not allow you to download the conferences. There are premium versions available that schools can purchase that allow for that option.

I would recommend taking a look at the software OBS Studio. It allows you to capture your screen. You'd basically start recording in OBs studio, conduct your web conference as usual and then end the recording in OBS Studio. The end result would be a local recording that you can add to studio.
