[ARCHIVED] Teachers want to sign up before district complete purchase process

If my campus sign up for free accounts to learn the platform while our district is in the process of purchasing will it affect the accounts the district will set up for us.

Hi  @rdavismiles  Welcome to the Canvas Community!

Your school's purchase of a Canvas account will have no effect on the accounts teachers create for themselves  through a Free-for-Teachers (FFT) account. Neither will your FFT accounts have any impact on the school's account - they are all separate accounts.

However, keep in mind that because they are separate accounts, the content you create in your FFT versions will not be included in your school's account. You will need to export your courses from your FFT accounts, then import them into the shells your school creates for you in their account.
