[ARCHIVED] Switching teacher of record without losing all the data

I was helping our new teacher who officially joined as on the second day of school create his Canvas course - front pages and otehr links. 

Currently he and I are both 'teachers' in Canvas.  However, our administrator wants hime to be the 'official' teacher of record in Canvas.

Although I am not certain how the changing 'the main teacher of record' is done on Canvas platform (It's tech specs job), I wonder if there is a way to save all my work done (and it's quite a bit)  for the teacher who would take over the ownership of courses?

Hello there, @jglowacki ...

If you and the new instructor were both assigned with the "Teacher" role in Canvas, the content that you built in the course should still be there if you were removed from the course later on.  Most, if not all, of the content that's created by you and the other instructor aren't really attached to your account.  So, if you create a page in a course, it should still be there for the other instructor once you are dropped from the course.  Does this help?
