[ARCHIVED] Storage limits with Powerpoint uploads

Is storage strictly limited to 1.3 gb for each class? I'm trying to upload powerpoint presentations that contain video examples and uploading one presentation used up 30%. (I've already compressed the mp4 files in the presentation.)

Hey Thomas,

You'll want to check with your local Canvas Admins about this.  The initial default course quota is 500 MB, so if you are seeing 1.3 GB your admins have already increased it some.  Canvas does have the ability to have quotas increased system wide for courses, or on a course by course basis.  But that will be up to your admins.  If they can't do it you can always try to use a cloud storage solution such as Box, Dropbox, Google Drive or OneDrive and then link to the file.
