[ARCHIVED] Setting an Activity to Automatically Publish

Is there a way to set your Canvas activities within the Module to unlock for students at a certain day/time? For example: The English Language Arts is the Module. I would like to set this up so that each week within the Module unlocks or self-publishes on Monday mornings at 7:45. Is there a way to do this? If not, can this be added?

Thanks for that info. It appears that the answer unfortunately is no. This is definitely a feature that Canvas should consider with the shift to more remote learning.

Hi  @kristen_johnso1  Welcome to the Canvas Community!

The closest thing to what you want would be to separate those weeks into their own modules and put a lock date on the module. https://community.canvaslms.com/docs/DOC-26270-how-do-i-lock-a-module 

The advantage is that you can also set a prerequisite for the previous module completed before viewing the next if you wanted to add more things (assignments) to the weekly module.

Thank you! That is a good idea. I'm really feeling my way through and building my plane while flying! I will play around with that idea because it would be a great time saver for me to not have to remember to publish every Monday morning at 8:00! Thanks again, and thank you for the badge!
