Hi

I have created around 30 groups but I need to find a particular person from the groups I have created.

Is their a simple way of doing this without going through each group which is time consuming.

Any help will be appreciated.

There is not a search function in the Groups tool, but, if you are using the New Gradebook you can display the Secondary Information which can include the Group that each student belongs to.  You can then use the browser Find function to find that student name in the Gradebook.

 @Mandeep_Dhesi ‌, in addition to  @Robbie_Grant 's great tip, here's one we shared with our business school faculty prior to adopting New Gradebook.  Go into the course's Student View and first click the People tab, then the Groups tab. The search box there finds names both among signed-up and unassigned students.

Thank you for the information. I have also found out another way which is if you have admin rights and you select the user/student on your course and then user account details.  Under the enrolments box you will see the groups to which the user/student belongs to.
