[ARCHIVED] SEPA Functionality in Editing a Assignment or Quiz

I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me. 

When editing an assignment or a quiz and then going down to the SEPA section and selecting students that might be under the category "Add'l time for tasks/twice/more than twice the allotted time", or  "additional time for testing", is it safe to assume that this functionality will add additional time to assignments or quizzes for students with IEP's or 504 according to what the student needs?

FYI ... so far I have spoken to technical support and they don't even have any documentation about that specific feature.  The person I spoke to stated that the SEPA functionality is provided by a third party app that possibly plugs into Canvas.  However, he did open up a ticket for us to find out more information.   I am waiting for the results.
