[ARCHIVED] Requirement Settings for SCORM "Assignments"

We are using hundreds of SCORM packages from Articulate in our self-paced Canvas Catalog courses.  The SCORM content is intended to be formative learning activities.  We want to encourage completion, which means scrolling to the end and completing all the interactions, but not necessarily make it graded, unless it could be complete/incomplete. But since it's SCORM, it comes in as an Assignment and doesn't work the way I'd like it to.

My question is what is the best way to set up the Assignment settings and Module requirements for these kinds of "assignments"?  The best way I've found so far is to import them as graded assignments, but change the grade display to complete/incomplete and points to 0.  Then I add the "assignment" as a requirement and set the requirement to "submit the assignment."  The problem is that it marks the requirement complete even if the student just views the page.

Any suggestions?  Is anyone else working with these tools in this way?

I know that SCORM does not work perfectly and pretty much its just mark the item as complete and then people tag on a quiz outside of SCORM at the end to complete the module.

I am attempting to do the same thing using Articulate Storyline 360 SCORM packages: having students do the interactive SCORM assignment as a prerequisite for a quiz created in Canvas. The LMS reporting in Storyline is set to passed/incomplete and tracking is set to number of slides viewed. In theory, the students would be required to view every slide in it's entirety (listen to all audio narration on the slide, interact with all of the elements, etc.) before they would be presented with the Canvas-generated quiz.
It is not working.
Students can launch the SCORM package, only view the first slide, and Canvas behaves as if they have completed all of the slides; students can immediately click the (Canvas-generaged) "next" button and launch the quiz. There doesn't seem to be a way to force students to interact with all of the content on the slides.
I'm doing compliance training, so it's important students view/interact with all content in the SCORM package. I'm really disappointed in this behavior of the SCORM package in Canvas. Any help would be appreciated.

I believe what you'll want to do is set the module requirement to "score at least" and then specify the maximum number of points for the assignment. This isn't ideal, because it implies that the SCORM assignment includes a quiz, but it's the only way I see to get Canvas to require completion of the SCO before moving to the next module item. If you have the requirement set to "submit," this will be satisfied as soon as the student moves to the second slide, because technically that is a submission (i.e., Storyline reports a score of 0% to Canvas). Instead, the requirement will need to be "score at least."
