[ARCHIVED] Request for easier/faster way to upload images into Canvas

Can there be a better way to upload content, images in particular, to Canvas without having to complete the upload to Canvas and then insert?  Why can't it just go right into the space we want?   I can't be the only one who sees this as an extra step, especially now during COVID.

Can it be a 3 step process.  Click add image, select image, click insert image, done?

Right now it is 5 steps.  click to add image, select canvas, choose location to upload, upload image, click insert.

Depending on which version of the RCE (Rich Content Editor) you are using, you can use these Guides (which you may be doing already):

  • How do I upload and embed an image in the New Rich Content Editor as an instructor?

You can certainly upload your images first to "Files" and then go to your content page to select the those images you want to include on your page...but the above directions will work just as well.
