[ARCHIVED] Practice homework submissions

I assign homeworks that are built using Canvas quizzes.  Students have unlimited attempts, highest grade counts.  After the due date, all the correct answers are revealed. However, after the due date, I want them to be able to continue to go into the homeworks and do them for practice, without changing their grade earned before the due date. I know this was possible on Blackboard...is this function available in Canvas?

Hi Grace,

Unfortunately, Canvas does not have this option. You can only set it to save the highest, latest, or average of the quiz scores. One thing you could do is create copies of these homework quizzes that you set to be ungraded "Practice Quizzes". Students could take the actual quiz as many times as they want up until the date you set, then they can continue to practice using the set of practice quizzes without affecting their score.
