[ARCHIVED] Opening a quiz for everyone except one student

Hi. 

My teachers want to be able to assign a quiz to everyone except maybe the three students who were absent for the past three days and will not take the quiz. Is there a way to do this without choosing to assign to all 127 students (and leaving the other three off). It is almost as if they are asking for an exception. Like assign to everyone and be able to choose exceptions.

I thought I was gonna say there isn't really a good way to do this which is too bad, because I know this is a common scenario.  BUT, I just came up with something.

How about for the Quiz click the + Add button and add those three students.... and then set availability dates in the past.  By giving those 3 student specific dates the normal dates will change to Everybody Else, and since the dates are in the past for those 3 students, they can't take the quiz!
