We have a Canvas Course set up for communication with our staff. Folks with student or teacher roles in this course have turned on "immediate notification" for when a file is added, but when we add a file to a module and publish it, they are not receiving a notification. What are we missing?

Out of curiosity, is the course also published? I would think this may have an impact on whether or not those immediate notifications are being sent out or not. Also, in addition to the notifications settings that can be configured by people clicking on "Account" >> "Notifications", are your colleagues also checking the individual course notification settings to see if they are turned on for that specific course shell?

Yes the course is published, and account and course notifications are set. I've watch the and read all the tutorials in Canvas for notifications, but cannot figure out the issue.
