Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I get a blank screen when I click on "New Analytics." I've been able to use this in the past without a
problem. I have the same problem in both of my classes. I have "turned on" the feature in settings, and reloaded, still have the same problem? Can anyone help?
Solved! Go to Solution.
If you just turned on the New Analytics tool, it is my understanding that the data updates every 24 hrs and that you will have to wait at least 24 hrs to see anything after turning it on the first time.

Steven,
Mine was doing the same thing and the "solution" provided didn't help either. After some research and trial-and-error, I found that it was my anti-virus program blocking the analytics from starting. Once I was able to allow the anti-virus tracking to work around the page, my analytics loaded right up.
Hi,
In Google Chrome, we noticed that New Analytics will appear blank when you have third-party cookies blocked. Once third-party cookies were allowed, New Analytics worked for me.
I'm able to go into my anti-virus/privacy tracking software and 1. add my institution's Canvas link to a list of pages/sites the program should allow/overlook and it worked just fine.

I've waited longer than 24 hours and it still only shows a blank screen.

Hi sshackmann,
I am having the same problem and canvas support can't solve it but have done all they can as they cannot replicate the issue. Therefore I think your solution
"Once I was able to allow the anti-virus tracking to work around the page, my analytics loaded right up."
would probably solve my problem. Can I ask how you allowed the anti-virus to work around the page please?
Cheers,
Maria

I installed canvas-lms from https://github.com/instructure/canvas-lms/wiki/Quick-Start, and analytics feature from https://github.com/instructure/analytics. I turned on new analysis in admin page and waited 24 hours but the new analysis button is not visible in the course. Is there any way for it to show up?

This worked for me as well. Luckily, I didn't have to turn on all 3rd Party cookies. Down towards the bottom you can input sites that always allow cookies. Make sure to type in or copy/paste your school's exact Canvas link. For example: https://scovenant.instructure.com/
