[ARCHIVED] Manually uploading a file on Speedgrader

Hi

Is it possible to manually upload a student's file when it is past the deadline? Sometimes when a lot of students upload their assignment close the deadline, the speedgrader can crush not allowing anyone to upload. Then we receive emails from students (before the due date) showing the error messages from speedgrader.

So it would be very helpful if we can manually upload the files ourselves too.

From what I understand "reupload submissions" is for the existing files.

Current Canvas functionality does not provide for teachers to submit on behalf of their students, but there is a feature idea currently open for voting that you might want to support at https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/1124-submit-an-assignment-on-behalf-of-a-student

A colleague just had this issue. I told him: You need to get the student to help. Assign the exam/assignment just to that student with an extended date. Tell the student to upload the work they sent to you as a .pdf file into the system and submit it. And then it will appear in SpeedGrader.
