[ARCHIVED] Is there a way to turn off a GIF a teacher has set as course view card?

I have a teacher that's set a GIF as a course view card, but since it shows up on every assignment in the List view, I'd much prefer if it was a static image of the first frame or something.

Hi @SpencerJackson -

Since the Course Card image is set by the instructor, it is not editable by students. Unfortunately, you're not able to "pause" the gif. I think it would be a great topic for a short email. The instructor is likely using the Card View, and only sees the Course Card briefly. They may be unaware that others could find the gif distracting.
