[ARCHIVED] Is it possible to turn off the teacher notifications for a group discussion?

We've created several groups for a project in our course. Each project has a different teacher so the course has several (over 20) teachers. We've noticed that several teachers receive notifications when a student starts a discussion in one of the groups. Teachers are not assigned to these groups. Can we turn this of in the group settings or is the only way for not receiving these notifications turning off all discussion notifications in the account settings?

Thank You, Bobby, for your answer.
I was already afraid of this. There are about 300 students in the course, involved in 51 project groups so it’s kind of an overload if all teachers receive the different discussions between students. I’ll let them change their notification preferences.
