[ARCHIVED] Is it possible to assign specific students to an assignment group in the calendar?

I can't seem to find an answer to this on the forums.  We'd like to assign individual students to specific events on the course calendar.  The scheduler allows us to let students to "sign-up" for open slots, but does not appear to allow instructors to require certain students to attend at specified times.  Is this even possible currently?

That's a really good question! I don't have Scheduler at my institution, but I was able to find a Canvas Lesson which goes through the process in detail.

Based on this, it looks like you can not be more granular about the availability. I think it would be helpful to be able to select certain sections of students. While I could have missed it, I did not see an open Idea Conversation about this feature. I think it would be worthwhile to start one! How do I create a new idea conversation in the Canvas Community?
