Is it possible for students to choose their own peer to review in a Peer Review? Until now we have used the Populi LMS which lets students pick who they want to review.

However, it looks like Canvas either automatically assigns peer reviews, or else they have to be manually assigned by the instructor.

That sounds like an awesome function! 

Right now, that is currently not available in Canvas. However, I think many instructors and designers would appreciate having the flexibility.

Have you explored the idea conversations process? If you have the time, create a new idea and open it for discussion. I'm sure others would chime in.

Thanks for letting me know. I voted for the ideas you suggested, since I believe both of them are part of our current Peer Review workflow in Populi also.

Our basic workflow is :

1) Students select whom to peer review
2) They use a rubric to do it
3) The faculty grade their peer review as part of their overall grade for the assignment

I will create an Idea for this.
