[ARCHIVED] Include a BCC in a message to a student

Is there a way of including a BCC or CC to oneself when sending an email to a student via Canvas?  Or is there some other way of keeping a record of messages to students?

Hello there, @drshirley ...

There is no CC or BCC option directly in the Canvas Inbox where you could include yourself in a message that you send to your students.  However, any message that you send via the Canvas Inbox should appear in the "Sent" folder of your Canvas Inbox.  There is a drop-down list near the top left corner of the Canvas Inbox where you can select from "Inbox", "Unread", "Starred", "Sent", "Archived", and "Submission Comments".  In addition, have you taken a look at your personal notification preferences in your Canvas account?  How do I set my Canvas notification preferences as... - Canvas Community  On your "Notifications" screen, you'll see a heading for "Conversations".  There are three rows under that heading where you can choose how you want to be notified about Inbox messages.  (If you hover your mouse over the words "Added To Conversations" (for example), you'll see a short pop-up that describes what that notification does.  You can also customize notifications per course...following the steps in this Guide: How do I manage notifications for a single course ... - Canvas Community.
