Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I'm just getting started on Canvas, and I sent a message through the Canvas Inbox to the full class, myself included. The Canvas course is linked to our institution emails, but I didn't receive the email. I then sent a few test messages directly to myself and didn't receive those at my institution email, either. The messages show up as "sent" in the Inbox function, but they don't appear in the Canvas inbox itself as new messages; the inbox is empty even though there are "sent" messages to it. The course is published. Thanks!

Hello.
I have my 'Conversations' and 'Conversations by me' set for 'Notify Immediately' via my school email address, but still am not receiving copies of my sent emails.
Is there another step I must do?
Thanks for your help.

@AyanaAirakan ...
Are you setting those notifications at the course level or at your account level? When you go to your "Account" >> "Notifications" page, you should see a drop-down on the top left part of the screen that says, "Settings for". You can select from "Account" (for your entire Canvas account) or for a specific course. But, be aware of the message at the top of the screen in the blue outlined box:
Account-level notifications apply to all courses. Notifications for individual courses can be changed within each course and will override these notifications.
So, you might want to re-check your notifications to see if you have things configured correctly. Good luck!
A very belated thank you, Chris Hofer!
