[ARCHIVED] I'd like to use the Chat feature for my students to meet virtually during our normal class time. Is there a way to create a pdf (or other doc) of our chat once it is completed, so that students can easily look back at our chat if necessary?

I know that the chat saves automatically, but I would like to save the chat as a pdf and then post that pdf in the day's module. That way, students can easily find it when they review, rather than scrolling through tons of chats, in the case that we use this feature regularly.

I tested a few things out and I think the easiest way to do this would be to create a course page, add it to the applicable course module and copy/paste the content into the newly created page. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Hello!  My chats are not automatically saving after a class.  I've tried emptying the cache and a different browser with no luck.  When the IT folks get on, they can see all of my chats and have sent me copies, but if I scroll up I can only see the last half hour of chats. I noticed today that I had access to the entire class, but when I closed it an reopened it I was back to the last half hour.  Any suggestions?

I apologize, I didn't see your response until today. Were you able to get this working? If not, I'd definitely recommend reaching out to Canvas Support; this sounds like buggy behavior.
