[ARCHIVED] I can't _copy to_ nor _send to_ an Assignment

Hello!

I've been working with canvas for the last months. Today, I've created a new course and I want to copy one assignment from one of the previous courses into the new assignment. Based on the documentation it's not a big deal, it's a feature already included in https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Instructor-Guide/How-do-I-copy-an-assignment-to-another-course/ta...

But when I went to my canvas server I can't see the options of copy to nor send to

- Do you know why this is happening? (I have permissions in all the courses)
- How can I do it?

Hi @joseglego 

I believe this is a feature that must be turned on by your Canvas administrators.  I would contact them and request it be made available.  It's an incredibly useful tool!

Hi @joseglego 

Even if you cannot get your Canvas Admin to turn this feature on, you can still accomplish this copy the old-fashioned way using the Course Import Tool. Specifically, this guide will get you there: How do I copy content from another Canvas course using the Course Import Tool?  This related guide will also prove helpful, How do I select specific content as part of a course import?

I have one more question, How can that be configured by the admin? I'd like to include documentation related when I write the message to the admin of my canvas environment!

Hi @joseglego 

I think that this guide will show your admins how to turn it on, they should know this already.
