[ARCHIVED] How to set up a discussion forum to allow students to attach a file.

My students are unable to add an attachment to a discussion forum. I have gone to Discussions and Settings and Enabled attachments. The student view is still not showing the ability to attach a file.

It sounds like you're taking the right steps!  Here's a couple troubleshooting steps I'd start with.

• Check that they are using a Supported Web Browsers. 
• Have them log out and back in to see if the setting corrects itself.

Hi Connie,

I went into your course and into student preview mode and attempted to attach a file to a discussion post and was successful.  Do you think your students may be missing the small paper clip icon at the bottom left of the discussion post composition screen?
