[ARCHIVED] How to make a live class dataset?

We are running virtual prac classes this semester. It would be good to have a live class dataset for students to use for their data analysis. Students would be able to add their own data to this set (just a count, nothing fancy), and it would update live. It would nice for this to output into a table or graph.

Has anyone tried to do something similar? At the moment, my only solution is to use polleverywhere, but it doesn't tally results quite like how I want.

There are two ways to do this that I know of....one is to integrate a Google Sheet and let students update that.  The other is to put a table on a Canvas page and make it editable for students.  When I have done that, I have had to create a separate assignment page of some kind to go with it - a discussion page if you want students to discuss the activity, or an assignment page if you want students to each provide their own analyses.  I would love to hear what other folks have done.
