[ARCHIVED] How do you link to a Canvas profile page?

Is it possible to create a links to instructor's Canvas profile pages on a Canvas page? We have a course with multiple instructors and want to create a page which lists each one, with a link to their Canvas profile. I tried copying the URL when the profile page is displayed and using that as an "external" link. It seems to work (at least when I click on the link), but the Canvas Link Validator complains about them being broken.

Hi  @dllargent  Thank You for your question. While a great idea the link will only be valid for you I think.

Perhaps creating a page within the course with Instructors details will be best in this situation. This page could be shared to other courses if need thus avoiding having to replicate work elsewhere.

I _could_ create a page, as you describe, and copy/paste all the content from each instructor' profile page onto  new page I create. I have two issues with that suggestion, however.

1. The situation where I'm wanting to use it simply is listing the instructor's names, and I don't want all the other information about the instructors on that page. BUT, I do want to make their names a clickable link to go to their Profile page so a student can find for info about the instructor, if they want to.

2. If the instructor were to change/update their profile page after I copied the content for "my" page, "my" page will not be updates.

The multiple instructors are all in the same course, but are split between a variety of sections. It appears each profile page has a number assigned to each instructor (based on looking at the URL for the profile page); I don't know why that would change, so it seems like it should work..

In a related question, I'd like to link an image (on the course Home page) to my Canvas profile. I tried to do it using the external link, and that did not work for me. Is there a way to provide students with a link to my Canvas profile?

I know the link to my profile is provided through each new Announcement, and I'd like to provide the extra link, too.
