[ARCHIVED] How do I stop the auto scroll?

When trying to read an extensively long description of an assignment, the page automatically scrolls back up to the top, every few seconds. The only way I have found to stop this, is to lock the wheel on my mouse and let it scroll slowly, but that isn't really a solution, since I need the page to stand still. This happens in Microsoft Edge and Chrome.

I have noticed you have had this question several times, for a few years, with no real solution. This is an ongoing problem that needs to be fixed.

Hi,  @andeja  Welcome to the Canvas Community! While other members might be able to tell you if they've experienced this or not (for example, I'm not able to replicate this behavior in Chrome), ultimately this needs to be addressed by Canvas Support. Please use the Help menu to ask a support agent to have a look (How do I get help with Canvas as a student? )
