Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I think collaborations and Google Drive will work great for my professional learning communities and Continuous School improvement groups. Are there other tools that work well for "Professional Groups?" Would I just build a group in Canvas and use that group to collaborate? Any advice would be welcome.
jwalford, I don't have an immediate answer for you. However, since your question prompt invites an open-ended discussion rather than eliciting a single answer that can be marked "correct," I'll change this to a discussion. I'll also share this with the Higher Education group and Canvas for Professional Development space where the discussion will garner additional views from people with experience using Collaborations for your stated purpose. If you're not already a member of those groups, joining is just a few clicks away.
You might also want to check out the CanvasLIVE session entitled Ways to Design Different Environments for Group Work in Canvas which is scheduled for today. If you can't make the webinar, you may want to bookmark it so you can come back to view the archive.
