How do I activate (link) a button on my home page?  I have a class news button that I want to link to announcements.  Right now it is not a "hot" link.

HI  @macinnje  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

When you are in 'edit' mode then highlight the button that you want to link to your announcement. Then on the right hand side you will see announcements, click that then click the announcement you would link the link to go to. 

OR

If you want to link to the whole Announcements page then go to the Announcements button in the course navigation, copy the URL for that section then go to the page with the button you would like to link/. Highlight the button then again highlight the button then use the 'link to url' icon to help you create the link.
