Hello 

Can I hide the assessment column prior to the due date so I can start marking?

Or will this prevent students uploading their work.

Hi rosemarie,

hide assignment in gradebook‌ only removes it from the students being able to view their grade on an the assignment in their gradebook. This allows you to start marking up the assignment of those students who have gone ahead and submitted the assignment early and not have to worry about those students seeing the markups until you're ready.
