Hello @kfinklestein , there are a few ways to do this. The easiest is to just unpublish the module. Students only see the modules that are published. The little green checkmark is an indication that the module is published and clicking on it will give you the "do not sign" or "no" symbol (it is the circle with the line through it) and make it unpublished/not visible to students.
Another way that might work better, especially if you want students to still have access to the resources but not right in their face, is to use the 8 little dots at the top left side of each module to move the ones you are done with to the bottom. (Click and drag from there) This way the ones students need to interact with currently are at the top.
Hope that helps!
Canvas needs to make a setting for all new modules to populate at the top or bottom depending on preference. I've made this suggestion following the proper procedures on here but for the life of me I can't find it now.

I literally just figured out how to move modules to the top and then your answer popped up! That is really what I wanted - for the most recent to be at the top.
Thank You!
Thanks for the help on this topic. I was moving them by hand and then I discovered this little gem. With a couple of clicks, you can send it to the top.
The 3 dots in the top right corner of the module let you move it to the top with a click.

Unfortunately that option still leaves it in the teacher view. Is there a way to completely hide previous quarters modules? we are currently at 12 weeks of modules and only in quarter 2. This will get quite cluttered very soon.
As far as I am aware there's no way to do this. You can collapse the module with the carrot on the left of the title bar or go through the effort of manually setting every single new module to be in the top position but this is another thing that Canvas has decided its users simply have to to deal with.
