[ARCHIVED] Heading styles have changed in the new UI. Is there any virtue to this change?

Hi everyone--

Recently, the headings definitions have changed in Canvas to include a color attribute.

Previously, the color was defined more generally for all text in the RCE.  This meant that if I defined an inline div with a color attribute, all of the text in the div--paragraphs and headings--inherited the color that I set in the div.

Now, only the paragraphs take on the color, the headings remain dark gray. This means that I have to set a color for every occurrence of a heading in that div.

I can't think of a particular virtue for this change, but I'm not a web designer by trade. Any thoughts?

In addition to Tom's question on color being added to the definition, I'd like to address the pixel spacing in the h3 style tag. Is there any way to reduce this on the pages? Currently, the h3 displays with so much pre and post spacing that the pages look strange like there are errors in the formatting.
